In yet another sign of how screwed up things are, here’s an argument against the recent push, by the Author’s Guild, against automated reading devices like the Kindle2, and their claim that this somehow violates copyright. It relies on the emotional appeal of the potential harm to those who are blind, rather than the broader fact that this sort of restriction would trample on the rights of all of us.
