Several years ago I had a customer who was trying to get a movie project off the ground involving time travel and Leonardo da Vinci. Actually, it looked pretty good. He wanted to put together a DVD to show potential investors, discussing his concept for the film, sharing some of the production design already completed, etc., and he wanted music for it; music with the proper flavor so that it “could” be from the movie.

Turned out he already had some music in mind. He played the piano by ear and had an idea for a “Leonardo theme”.

So, what I have here is both the original recording of him playing the theme that he provided, followed by the arrangement I delivered for his project.
